We are at a pivotal moment in national healthcare reform moment. Some long time advocates for single payer universal healthcare are pushing for a robust public option in the current legislation, others advocate holding out for a pure single payer system. The workshop will offer updates on current legislation at the federal level, opportunities to connect with national coalitions and how state UU advocacy networks are engaging congregations and “putting unity on the agenda” at the local level.
